From hip boutiques and inspiring floral selections to quirky art stores: there’s something to love for everyone in Nashville. Of course, the holiday season is now in full swing which means chances are you are also looking for presents for your loved ones. Why give friends and family something you can find in any big box retailer when you could be getting them something unique from one of Nashville’s local stores?

If you don’t know where to start looking: don’t fret! The team at Living Local Nashville has put together a great guide to help you shop Nashville’s local stores for the holidays.

Books

Books are always a welcome gift — and Nashville has a number of standout independent bookstores. The perennial favorite is of course Parnassus Books in Green Hills. Owned by bestselling author Ann Patchet you will find a wonderfully curated section of books for adults and kids. On top of that, every Ann Patchet book at Parnassus is signed by the author herself! Another great option is The Bookshop in East Nashville. Lovers of architecture and arts are sure to find books to suit their tastes at that store.

Food

Nashville is of course a foodie town. Why not surprise someone with gift cards for a local favorite like Martin’s BBQ or a cooking class at The Kitchen?

Fashion & Arts

Do you have some friends who would be excited to show off their Nashville pride — or maybe some people who really want to live in Nashville? Why not pick up some cool Nashville-inspired clothing at The Hood Shop.

And of course, Nashville is synonymous with music and arts. If you are looking for a unique gift from one the many local artists and artisans why not start at the Art is in Market at the Green Hills Mall. You will find a rotating selection of unique, hand-made in Tennessee items from over 40 artists.
